Servicing African populations
Who better than Africans is able to define what suits them in their daily lives? If Solektra’s teams are now recognized on the continent, it is notably for their ability to listen and their capacity to define a response adapted to each context. A good example is the pilot village of Tumba, in Rwanda, which brings together a set of equipment chosen with the help of local authorities and also after consulting with the inhabitants.
Solar energy has a lot of potential, beyond public lighting; supporting irrigation efforts and agriculture, providing power for electronic and electrical equipment, internet access and connectivity…Depending on the needs of the population – rural or peri-urban, young people, families – and the potentialities in terms of productive activities, solar energy can be leveraged in many ways.
